Do you have a transportation programme? 

ISL does not currently have a transportation programme in place.  However our school is easily accessible by bus/train/bike and car.

Does ISL offer after school activities?

ISL has a variety of activities available for our students, which take place on campus. You can sign up for these (once enrolled) at the following link. After School Activities

Does ISL offer an after school care programme?

ISL has a dedicated after school programme on school premises, run by Floreokids for all our students. You can find more information by following this link After School Care

Do you offer preschool? 

ISL has a Dutch pre school on site for 2yrs and older. This will help with the transition into our primary school. Please find more information at www.splopvang.nl 

Is there a deadline for applications?

At ISL we have implemented a rolling admissions policy. This means that if there is availability in the required age group we are able to accept students all year.

Are students able to purchase lunch at school?

Our school does not provide lunch facilities. All students must bring their own snacks and lunches with them. At ISL we promote healthy eating. Sandwiches, fruit and raw vegetables are some suggestions. Children will require both a snack and lunch.

When is the school closed for holidays?

Am I allowed to take my child/ren out of ISL during term time?

There are strict guidelines in place for both International students and through the Dutch education system.

If a Special Leave request is denied by the school and the child is still taken out, ISL has a legal obligation to report this to the Leerplicht Ambtenaar (Attendance officer) and, in almost every case, legal action will be taken. For further guidelines, please refer to our ISL Special Leave Request form.

Does ISL have a uniform policy?

ISL students do not have to wear a uniform.

Can I schedule a visit to the school?

We welcome all prospective families to come and visit our school, to ensure it is right for you. Please contact us at admissions@isleiden.nl to arrange a tour. 

My child does not speak English, may they still join ISL?

Yes, of course! We would need to have a discusson about what English as Additional Language (EAL) support is available and how we can offer this in the short and/or long term.

Are there facilities for students with physical challenges? 

Our school provides facilities for children with physical challenges to ensure they feel welcome and at ease. 

What age group will my child be placed in?

Our cut off date for group placement is the 1st of October for that year. Please see attached an overview of our breakdown per year group:
